Heavily inspired by the original Redux Messenger Bag (Sold out), we made a high-end alternative with same utility and attention to detail. Made with 500D CORDURA® Konbu®, a high performance and luxury fabric with military-grade durability. Konbu is finished with a water repellent coating that keeps weather out of the way and its super light, 20-60% lighter than the Waxed Canvas. We used CORDURA® twill for the flap and bottom panel to complement the overall aesthetic and contrasting high-vis CORDURA® 210D ripstop nylon in Red for inner lining.

The Redux is compatible with all forms of rolling luggage and features 13 pockets and compartments in total with a rear padded laptop sleeve, secured with a fidlock fastener including 2 bottle pockets on both the exterior and interior. And we used our most innovative hardware yet, a pair of magnetic V-buckles with pull tab for quicker access. The Redux Messenger bag also includes a large external pocket with a waterproof zipper, to keep your cargo safe, whatever the weather, there is a large mouth drop pocket held closed with a hidden magnet and a hidden two-way zippered compartment beneath the lid for smaller items you need to keep secure and handy. We finished the look with our MP metal label that represents our commitment of making timeless design high quality bags.

Excellent in every respect (and it should be, at that price;). Roomy, many pockets with enough material to expand, but with a big central pocket if you prefer pouches, and possible to be cinched down and made more compact. Varied materials with different textures and looks, fun to use and look at, red interior is a nice change from all that tacticool orange that is popular for some unknown reason for bags in this price range. Quality construction, feels very solid and capable taking abuse. Love it!

Design and materials work very well for me

Good for both commuting and travel: lightweight, water resistant (including the vents at the side of the main flap), roller luggage strap, I love the Cobra buckles and you can dress it up or down b/c of the leather trim & Konbu material. Stands up on its own, which is important to me. The internal organization is good: lots of space in the main compartment, multiple bottle pockets, pockets with zippers / magnetic closures on the outside and accessible. Combines most of best aspects of Trakke Wee Lug, Bedouin Foundry Khan, others (as you'd expect from a Carryology collab). Custom shoulder pad should be included (I bought separately for $25 from MP & it doesn't quite match) and price point is high, but worth it for me.

This bag is amazing!

Everything about this bag screams deluxe. It holds way more than its size would suggest, but the straps pull things down to a compact bundle. Carries nicely and the fabric feels so good! One feature that was an unexpected bonus for me was the luggage pass through. No more securing my bag to rolling luggage with a hero clip!

Redux Messenger Bag…...

It is the first bag in a long while that I have loved all of it. The material is wonderful and unique and the design is well thought out.

Just a keeper, all round.

Probably the best bag I’ve owned

I was looking pretty at Chrome Industries for a cross body messenger that could hold my 16" MBP and other gear. This bag beat all those expectations. It's specious, I've used it as a two day travel bag to hold work gear and clothes. The outside material looks incredible and feels like my goruck bags- extremely tough! The bright orange liner makes it easy to find everything and the number of pockets are great. The cobra clips are phenomenal. Overall I can't recommend this bag enough. It is all the best bags rolled in to one.
